TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH A UNIQUE APPROACH TO RESIDENTIAL CARE
Ofsted-registered children’s homes providing a unique approach to residential childcare that changes the lives of vulnerable children across the UK.

WHY WILDERNESS WAY
At Wilderness Way, we provide specialist therapeutic residential care designed to help vulnerable children recover, grow, and reach their full potential.
Our team combines expertise in trauma-informed care, educational and cognitive support, and tailored transition planning to deliver consistent, safe, and meaningful outcomes.
Every child’s placement is guided by a holistic, evidence-based approach, ensuring they receive the stability, care, and guidance they need to thrive.
A CHILD-CENTRED, HOLISTIC SUPPORT SYSTEM
Our specialist intervention programme puts the child at the heart of everything we do.
Each home is carefully designed to provide an environment built on stability, consistency, and trust. From the moment they arrive, every child is surrounded by compassionate therapists, healthcare professionals, education specialists, and experienced care staff.
Together, we create a safe, nurturing space where healing and growth can take place.
The goal is to help every child make a positive transition into their next home, whether with family, foster carers, or a long-term placement.

CREATING SAFE, NURTURING HOMES FOR EVERY CHILD
Our therapeutic homes are spacious, family-style environments set in tranquil rural locations.
Each home is built around stability, consistency, and trust, creating a place where children feel safe, and are safe. Meaning they can thrive emotionally and practically.
With just one child living in each home, always supported by two carers, we provide the consistency and attention needed for children to feel secure and understood.
These Ofsted registered children’s homes form the foundation for healing and growth, while also encouraging children to enjoy new experiences and explore the outdoors whenever possible.
Spacious bedrooms offer a cosy, comfortable personal retreat, complemented by communal living areas and dedicated spaces for home learning and creativity.
COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT AND PROGRESS MONITORING
Every child’s journey is guided by our My Assessment of Progress (MAP) framework, designed to track wellbeing, manage risk, and measure development. Our approach includes:
- A thorough initial assessment on arrival, with monthly progress reviews.
- Specialist assessments covering physical health and education.
- Multi-agency collaboration, ensuring input from all teams involved in the child’s care.
- Focus on the six core strengths of child development (identified by Bruce Perry) attachment, self-regulation, affiliation, attunement, tolerance, and respect, alongside education and physical health.
